🧠 Psychology of a Website: Part 2!

🍿 Grab your popcorn, sit back and enjoy as I return with part 2 of the website psychology series. If you missed the first one, jump back here and take a look - https://ampersandstudio.uk/psychology-of-a-website-part-1-of-3/

A quick reminder of what we're trying to achieve:

➡️ Imagine your website is a customer service desk, would you be happy with how it performs?

🪾Introducing Sow What? A garden services company getting it wrong!

In this video we look at the content of your site. The language you use, the type of content you provide and the barriers you may be putting in place, stopping a customer moving forward. Things to look out for:

❌ Overly complicated headline!
❌ Use of big words believing it makes you sound like experts!
❌ Pages that just have large paragraphs of text that lack engagement
❌ Important information and answers missing from the site
❌ The belief that potential customers will happily pick up the phone or submit a form to find what they're looking for.

🫵🏼 Take a look at the headline and first few paragraphs of your website now. Would you be happy if your customer service team spoke to a potential customer, face to face, using the same language❓

Not all visitors to your site are ready to make a decision or take action so don't neglect those that will jump from your site to your competitors as they build up their awareness and interest in whatever it is they're looking for. Give answers to their questions, make your site engaging to navigate and they'll remember you when the time is right to pick up the phone or send a message.

🎞️ Part 3 out on Friday where we look at another garden services company - Shear Perfection - getting it right!
